Cal Coach – Privacy Policy
How we handle your data in the Cal Coach app.

Cal Coach (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a mobile application that helps you track calories, steps, workouts, and nutrition. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:
- Account and device info: basic device identifiers provided by Apple, app version, language, and crash or diagnostics data.
- Health and fitness data you enter: calories eaten, foods and meals logged, macronutrients and micronutrients, workouts, steps, and other progress metrics you track in the app.
- Apple Health data (if enabled): we only read data that you explicitly grant access to in Apple Health. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Purchase information: your subscription status and product identifiers so we know whether to unlock premium features. Payments are processed by Apple, not by us directly.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- provide and improve core app features (nutrition logging, step syncing, workout tracking);
- personalize your targets, insights, and progress views;
- manage your subscription and entitlement status;
- respond to support requests and user feedback; and
- monitor app performance, fix bugs, and prevent misuse or abuse.
3. Health Data
Any health or fitness data we read from Apple Health is used only to power features inside Cal Coach (for example, syncing steps or displaying your activity). We do not sell your health data.
4. Payments
All purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple’s in-app purchase system (the App Store). We do not receive or store your full payment details such as credit card numbers. Apple bills you directly and sends us our portion.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted service providers (for example, analytics or error logging tools) strictly to operate, secure, and improve the app.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see below).
7. Your Choices
- You can change or revoke Apple Health permissions in the iOS Health settings at any time.
- You can delete the app to stop local data collection on your device.
- You can contact us to request deletion of data stored on our servers, where applicable.
8. Children’s Privacy
Cal Coach is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
